Official Commissioning of School Renovation Project at DA Basic School at Dawa
As part of the developer’s Community Investment Strategy, Lekela BV has funded in the past months the renovation of three dilapidated schools around the project area of the wind farm site at Ayitepa.
On 6th April 2017, the official commissioning of this first community development project took place at the Dawa DA primary school, one of the three renovated schools.
The ceremony included speeches of the Head Teacher of the Dawa School and the District Education Director as well as the cutting of the ribbon by Jennifer Boca, Head of ESG of Lekela. The ceremony was closed with a magnificently performed cultural dance of the pupils of the Dawa DA school.
Aside of the Dawa DA Primary School, also the Old Ningo DA KG School and the Ayetepa DA Basic A School were renovated.
Once the project will be under construction, additional community engagement projects will be launched in order to support the local population around the project site.
